This refers to textiles made form natural fibers. Lots of new bio fibers are produced with artificial processes. Biotechnology is focusing on natural solutions reproduced with high-tech processes. Designers and scientists can learn much from nature. An example is Corn Fiber. It is made from a polyactic acid fiber prepared from the lactic acid obtained through the fermentation of corn starch. Derived from a plant, Corn Fiber is an entirely new type of synthetic that biodegrades safely.1 [<<] |
